About the Instructor:Elina Root’s interest in helping both adults and children discover optimal well-being and her love of water as a healing medium have guided her over 10 years of specialized study and practice. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University (1998), and explored Physical Therapy at Cal State Northridge and graduated in Massage Therapy from the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing, respectively. She is also certified in Red Cross CPR, Water Tai Chi Instructor, and the Arthritis Foundation's Aquatics program.
About the Instructor: Michelle has been a swim instructor, Mommy and Me specialist and water aerobics coach with Head Above Water since 2008. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2000, and then went on to graduate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, earning her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2006. She is Red Cross CPR and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certified with over 12 years of teaching experience. She develops customized aqua therapy & water-fitness programs helping you overcome back pain & other injuries, while reducing stress and tension.
Be prepared for an emergency by learning CPR in the privacy of your home. CPR is a lifesaving skill and should be reviewed every year. Get certified by the American Red Cross through Head Above Water.
About the Instructor: Chris has been a lifeguard, swim instructor and Instructor Manager for Head Above Water since 2006 and has nearly a decade of experience. He is certified to teach CPR through the American Red Cross and has been a trainer for nearly three years. Chris is originally from Las Vegas and has recently earned his Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
