About the Instructor: Elina Root’s interest in helping people discover optimal well-being and her love of water as a healing medium have guided her over 15 years of specialized study and "hands-on" training from some of the most experienced experts in aquatic therapy and massage. She creates individually specialized aquatic rehabilitation programs, helping children and adults affected with pain, stress, and wide range of neurological, spinal, joint or other injuries. Elina holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University (1998) and graduated in Massage Therapy (#21306) from the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing. Elina is also certified as a Watsu Practitioner from the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association, Water Tai Chi (Ai Chi) instructor from Aquatic Therapy & Rehab Institute, Aquatics Instructor from the Arthritis Foundation, Red Cross CPR and Water Safety.
