PAYMENT POLICY
Your credit card guarantees your lesson time. No reservations can be made without a valid form of payment on file. Form of payment accepted is Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Checks, cash and Discover are not accepted. Should you wish to cancel your lessons prior to the commencement of classes, the full amount of the deposit will be refunded. Should you wish to cancel your lessons at any point all lessons that have not been taken will be refunded. There is an annual $20 registration fee per child assessed to your first invoices of the year. Registration fee can be waived by registering online.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be made 24-hours before your scheduled lesson by phone to the Head Above Water Office. If not, lesson will be forfeited and no make up lesson can be offered. A maximum of 3 make up lessons can be scheduled during each six or ten class series. Make-up lessons must be scheduled within four weeks of the cancellation but are not guaranteed with the same teacher. In order to cancel, you must contact the Head Above Water office by phone. Instructors will not be responsible for relaying any information.
OFFICE COMMUNICATION
HAW is the main point of contact for all communication regarding your lesson schedule. All schedule changes must be made through the HAW office - including but not limited to date/time changes, location of lesson changes, cancellations and payment updates. Upon making your reservation a confirmation email and an invoice will sent once the lessons are reserved. Should you not receive a confirmation and invoice please contact the office immediately. In addition, if the lesson dates or times are incorrect on the reservation please contact the office as the lessons given on the confirmation are the confirmed schedule of lessons. In addition, we will email follow up surveys and helpful swim lesson tips. Should you wish not to receive these emails please contact the HAW office.
CONTINUATION POLICY
There is no guarantee that the same scheduled lesson time will be available for you in future sessions. We will do our best to work with you to get the day and time of your request. If you plan on continuation then let our offices know as soon as possible. Your continuation reservation is ensured only with a credit card and a confirmation from our billing department.
WEATHER POLICY
Lessons will be taught on rainy days (children find it fun to swim in the rain) unless Head Above Water determines that weather conditions are unsafe (i.e. lightning is present). Lessons will be rescheduled or refunded at the discretion of Head Above Water.
SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
Semi-Private lessons include splitting the time and cost of one lesson between two clients. In this case, either both children can be taught simultaneously in the pool or the duration of the lesson can be divided between them. If one person cancels prior to the 24-hour cancellation period, that lesson will be cancelled completely. See cancellation policy for details.
INSTRUCTOR CHANGES
We are committed to providing quality lessons for you and your children. We understand that children learn best when the teacher is consistent. Therefore, it is our goal to keep the same teacher for your series of lessons. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the teacher will be the same each lesson as there are many factors that can cause a teacher to miss a lesson such as illness, travel, car trouble, or family emergency. In the event that the instructor must change we will notify you in advance and provide you with an option for another teacher or to reschedule your swim lesson upon the return of your current teacher.
NOTE ABOUT COLD POOLS AT IN HOME LESSONS
If upon arrival the pool is cold, we will do our best to teach the lesson. If the actual pool temperature is below 80 degrees, HAW can officially cancel the lesson. In this case, no make up lesson will be offered. |
